Our Story

In October 2009, Blueberry Food Company was born, initially we created buffets for business lunches and all this took place in a garage converted into a kitchen at the back of our family home! We quickly outgrew our kitchen and took on our first shop, now called 'The Blue Pig Deli' on Smedley Street in Matlock.

One by one we seized opportunities to expand Blueberry and we are very proud of the sites we now operate, with each of them being quite unique, but all following the simple eithos of providing delicious, fresh food sourced locally or where possible made ourselves.

We continue to strive to improve the services we offer without losing any of the “family business “ feel that has served us so well.
